Kickstarter video for The Other Side.  

It was successfully funded and allowed for the production of a one-person crew to travel to England to shoot what ended up being a feature length documentary.

The Other Side: a low-budget, kickstarted documentary chronicling Sarah Thomas, a breast cancer survivor, in her attempt to swim across the English Channel four times non-stop!

Shot by a one-man crew with insufficient access to the support boat, production and post production were a severe mess to get through.  Myself and the first-time producer spent long months putting sequences together to finally pull this off!

One of very few feature length credits for me.  Long-form documentary is not my forte, but I would call it a lengthy and intense learning experience. 

I remain proud of a few sequences in the full doc.  If you only have two minutes to check it out, the cold open is very strong.

I got into collecting records the year before COVID hit.  At a few vinyl pop-ups, I'd met Chris Antonowich, who opened a brick-and-mortar record store in early 2020.  He kept his business afloat during the worst of the pandemic by personally delivering records all around New England.  I wanted a chance to tell his story, so I produced this mini-doc about his story.
